Ingredients

  • 3 gallons of water
  • 4 pounds of grits
  • 1 cup of chicken base
  • 1lb of butter
  • 1 bag of sh. ch. cheese (5lb)
  • 1 gallon of milk
  • 2 tbps salt
  • 1 tbps pepper

Recipe Instructions

Step 1

bring 3 gallons of water to boil

Step 2

Add 1 cup of chicken base to water

Step 3

Add 4 pounds of grits and boil for 10 minutes

Step 4

reduce heat to simmer and add 1lb butter. stir until melted

Step 5

Stir in 1 gallon of milk

Step 6

Stir in 1 bag of cheddar cheese until blended

Step 7

Stir in 2tbps Salt

Step 8

Stir in 1tbps pepper

Step 9

Once well blended remove from heat and portion into 1 gallon bags

Step 10

Seal bag

Step 11

Add bags to deep hotel pan place in warmer fill water to top.
